A rather green city, Viridian is inhabited with many people and Pokemon. Even from afar you can see the Pokemon Center and PokeMart. In the distance you can see the Viridian Forest, while going west will take you to the Indigo Plateau. There is a gym here, though there doesn't seem to be anyone in there and it's locked.

Quiet and silent, light filters in through the small gaps between trees. You would want to keep silent, for Beedrill and ready-to-evolve Kakuna can be found almost everywhere. Keeping quiet is the best thing you can hope for in this maze-y forest. But if you can make your way through, Pewter City will be in view.

A city full of excitement, Pewter City has many attractions, including the Pewter Gym, which is runned by Forrest, Brock's younger sibling. Not too far away is the Pewter City Museum, where you can see the ancient artefacts that have been unearthed. A scientist in there will help you revive a Pokemon from a fossil, if you want to.

A tall mountain that towers over the Kanto region, it seems like the only way to get to Cerulean City. It is known that Cleffa, Clefairy, and Clefable dance before a meteor when there is a full moon.

As the city glitters with the shine of the water that surrounds it. From afar you can see the creator of the Pokemon BOX, Bill. Misty, the leader of the Cerulean Gym specialises in Water-type Pokemon. There is a bike shop close by and down the route to Vermillion is a small DayCare house. You can also see the Rock Tunnel and a small underground passage that leads to Vermillion City.

The home of the Pokemon Fan Club, this city has a lot of Pokemon enthusiasm. It overlooks the sea, perfect for a Fishing Guru. The Gym witch hosts Electric type pokemon is blocked off by a skinny tree. A cave that is said to have been made by Diglett sits off to the side, pass it is a watch tower. There's a route made of bridges but a giant sleeping pokemon seems to be blocking it.

A city full of activity, there are many things to do in Celadon. You can always head down to the department store to pick up on some neccessities. A restaurant and a Game Corner only add to the ever growing population. A small and skinny tree appears to be blocking the only entrance and exit to the gym.
If you're done here, you can always rent a bike and head down Cycling Road to Fuchsia City.

A dark and creepy tunnel, Rock Tunnel seems like the only way to get to Lavender Town, since a large sleeping Pokemon is blocking the other route. It's worth a try, since there is no other way. Just try not to get lost.

A creepy and eerie place, Lavender Town is where the Pokemon Cemetery is located, where people come to offer their prayers to the Pokemon who have perished. An ominous feeling settles over the land, so only the brave enter.

A rather large place which is a complete maze, Fuchsia City is renowned for the famous Safari Zone, which houses many rare Pokemon which can only be caught here. You can also challenge the Gym Leader here, who is a specialist in Poison-types. So much to do, so little time...

A largely populated city, there appears to be two Gyms, one a Fighting Dojo and the other the actual gym, which specialises in Psychic-types. Silph Co. looms above the city, standing out from the rest of the buildings. Surrounded by many towns and cities, Saffron is a major crossway that should not be missed.

This town has a peaceful feel that seems to breed happiness. The people here will be more than willing to show you around. Can you find adventure here?

This city's has a lot to offer. The place has life to it as it is the site of the first Gym in the reigon. New trainers come to battle the leaders flying pokemon in an effort to gain their first badge. Also seen in this city is Sprout Tower, named so for the pokemon Bellsprout of which it has many sculptures. Just out of the city you can see the remains of the famous and mysterious Ruins of Alph.

This town is peaceful and calm. The lazy feeling is increased by the multitudes of Slowpoke that inhabit the town. The Slowpokw Well(also known as the Rainmaker's Well) is a cool damp home for these pokemon, along with other water types. The dark, maze like Ilex Forest can be seen from here. Kurt lives in this town, and should you prove yourself worthy, he may make you a unique pokeball out of apricorns. Trainers after the gym's badge should be prepared to fight the powerful bug-type team of the Leader.

Entering this forest is almost like entering a place of eternal night, as barely any light makes it through the many leaves of trees, and to make things more confusing, the layout is like a giant maze. A shrine for the Legendary Forest Spirit Pokemon stands in the center of this forest. Remember: When you hear the voice of the forest, stand still, or you'll travel through time with it.

This city is busy and bustling with shoppers hurrying here and there. There are huge buildings and so many people! This city has a Bike Shop, a Radio Tower, Train Station, a Game Corner, and the largest Mart in the reigon. The Gym specialises in Normal-type pokemon, and sits near the edge of town. On the outskirts of this city, a DayCare Center sits peacefully. The caretakers are an old man and his wife, and they will be happy to raise your pokemon for a small fee.

Old fashioned town that seems to give off a strange energy. The two towers that that this town hosts, have many legends surrounding them. The Tin Tower and former Brass Tower stand beside each other non-forth telling of their legendary history. If you visit the dance hall you will see elegant dancers and their pokemon perform, and you may even get some strong battling opponents. Or you can challenge the Ghost training Gym Leader of Ecruteak for the fourth badge in this region.

A city by the sea. The sun reflects off the ocean giving the most serene view. The salty crisp sea air lingers through the town, giving everyone a boost of energy. A Lighthouse sits by the shore, it’s light is said to be given off by a pokemon. The Gym Leader uses steel pokemon, for all those willing to take the challenge. North of the seaside city, a Milktank Farm sits peacefully. If your pokemon need some pepping up, it’s definitely worth the trip!

These islands are named for the violent whirlpools that block them from most surfers. If you manage to get passed these swirling waters, you enter a cool damp cavern filled with rare water pokemon. As you venture forth, be prepared for whirlpools, waterfalls, and quick currents. Why travel through such dangerous territory? Could it be the rumor that the Legendary Guardian of the Sea makes its nest here?

Such a tranquil island; waves crash upon the sandy shores. A Pharmacy sits in the middle of this paradise, and it is said the person there can make very strong healing medicines. The Gym here focuses on the fighting type pokemon, and you may have to go looking for this towns ever training Leader. With such beautiful scenery, it’s a great place to relax.

This town is homey with a slight briskness to the air, from the nearby Ice Path. But the chill in the air just serves as a refreshing awakening. The Ice Path to the west leads to the town of Blackthorn, and up north the Lake of Rage is said to be habitat to schools of Gyarados. The towns Gym Leader uses ice-type pokemon, but getting to him might prove harder than the actual battle.

A rather small town, you can come here to get your Pokemon healed, especially if you got them hurt on your way here. There is actually a secret shortcut: You can surf East, which will take you to Slateport City.

A lovely place that is decorated with small ponds and dainty flowers, Petalburg hosts the first gym in the region. The gym leader, Norman, is also the great coordinator May's father. It is a disappointment, especially since he will only accept your battle when you present him with the first four League badges.

The Petalburg Woods run in a zigzag manner that should be no problem... If you have a good sense of direction, that is. Past these woods lie Rustboro City, the home of the first gym in the Hoenn League.

Rustboro City is north of Petalburg City via the Petalburg Woods and houses the first gym leader that the player can battle, specializing in Rock-type Pokémon. The Rusturf Tunnel is located to the east, and Meteor Falls to north after a little water ride. The Devon Corporation sits in a corner of the town, and the Pokemon Academy is here too.

An island far south of Petalburg, going Northeast from here leads you to Slateport, a renowned port. A small cave sits to the side of the island, and apparently, there is no PokeMart here. You had better stock up before facing the Gym Leader - You don't want to have to run back to get supplies...
