TrainerThis is the job most of you will have I'm sure. "Trainer" is the job that spans between "Beginning Trainer" and "Junior Trainer". If you plan to be a new trainer (12 years old or less) then we suggest that you begin with one pokemon in their beginning state. Here's a few ways to get a pokemon: - Go to one of the beginning towns (Pallet, New Bark, etc.) and request a pokemon.
- PM me (Bynd) if you have a special way you want to get your pokemon.
Then you will have your fisrt pokemon and officially become a trainer! Woot! However you may not want to start that far back, which is okay. Junior trainers usually have 2-6 pokemon from levels 20-50. Most of them are in their first and second evolved forms. For this you can have all the way up to 8 Badges. Now for what trainers do! Train your Pokemon! - people tend to take this for granted. Sometimes you need to fight the random Rattata or Sentrent that come by! For this site, I'm going to try to keep track of experiance points (mentioned in 5.0 - Pokedex). Level up your pokemon!!! Battle other Trainers! - besides other players, we will have a few NPC trainers to get you used to battling. Your pokemons HP will be kept track of as best as possible (though it would be nice if you told us your pokemon fainted). We count on your integrity to be able to battle properly, but MODs will come in to settle any disputes. (More mentioned in 6.0 - Battling) Gaining Gym Badges! - this is a big part of the game right? So make sure to stop by the Gyms and test yourself! You not only get the badge, but a TM or Pokemon based on the Gym's Type! Pokemon League - (or some other sort of championship) Prove you're the best. Come to battle for the gold. Please note that even if you do put on your profile that you have 8 Badges, you need to earn at least 3 to participate. Alright! That's it! Questions can go in the questions sub-board that is 2 below the Guide Book sub-board. For ALL Trainer characters, you will get a Pokedex Profile in the Pokedex topic. (the Pokedex here is explained in 5.0)

Expert/Advanced Trainer
Experts are placed at a higher level than trainers, and usually train a certain type of Pokemon. For example, Volkner of Sunyshore trains Electric-type Pokemon, and he's an Electric-type Expert. There are some experts that tend to train a variety of Pokemon, but it's usually monotyped though.
Their Pokemon range from 60's and below - seeing that they may be training baby Pokemon from scratch. So basically, as long as they still are not able to surpass the Elites in battling skills, it's all good.

Elite Trainer
Elite trainers are harder to place. They are basically masters of one type of pokemon. The Eilte Four is a good example. Lance was the Master of Dragon types, and so he was an Elite. Clair (in Johto) was a Dragon Trainer as well, but she was at the Gym Leader Level, and so was just a Dragon Expert. Get it?
Elites have pokemon ranging from level 70-100. They are extremely hard to beat, which is why I don't want any newbies to apply for an Elite position. This isn't a limitation however! If you are a great roleplayer, and think you can handle being such a powerful trainer without God-Modding, then please go for it!
We need Elites to:
Serve in our Elite Fours - League trainers are needed! I don't ant to have to roleplay all of them! You can wander around as a normal character, but you need to take challenges at the League.
Serve as our Heros - We need heros who aren't newbies! Give us a few good Elites to battle out bad Elites!
Serve as our Villans - Executive and Elite Rockets/Magma/Aqua are Elite trainers. We need you to be our higher ups so we can give the bad guys a fighting chance!

CoordinatorOverall in charge of this occupation: dewdropdreadA coordinator is one that takes part in Contests that are held in the Pokemon World, the Contest Halls found in several places - ranging from large areas in Hearthome to small little ones in Verdanturf Town. Contests do not have ranks in this context - All you need to do is gain five ribbons from any region and the coordinator is eligible for the Grand Festival, which can be held in many different places. The more common ones are in the Pokemon League stadiums, but only if the Pokemon League is not being held anytime soon. Contests vary, and so do their styles. Most commonly they will go with one appeal and shortlisted finalists will then move on to the following round, the battle segment, in which they battle with points to see who emerges victor or moves on. Variations of this may include: -- Grand Festival format, of which double battles are used during the second round, and coordinator will do two appeals with different Pokemon. -- Double appeals, where two Pokemon coordinate their moves to finish an appeal, or maybe two or three. Battles remain single, though. -- And many others. The host of the contest will choose the format of battling and appeals. If the person who RPs the host of the contest does not have his own characters participating, he can just choose who to move on. If not, a poll is put up for the other roleplayers to decide who to move on. There may be unofficial contests held about in the Pokemon World, with a variety of prizes ranging from rare Pokemon to food to money, or even Contest needs. Contests need not only be the ones seen in the manga or anime, but can also include beauty contests and such. There are many known Contest Masters that have appeared in the Pokemon World, and are listed. - Wallace Mikagawa
-- Everyone knows him as Mikuri, or Wallace, with his water-typed Pokemon, he has risen up the ranks and stands as the ex-Gym Leader of Sootopolis, Hoenn Champion, then further on to a Contest Master. His main Pokemon are his Milotic and Elizabeth, his Luvdisc. He also hosts the Wallace Cup, the ribbon different from usual contest ribbons, and are eligible for the Grand Festival too.
- Wallene Mikagawa (canon)
-- Her name is very familiar - Yes, she is the daughter of Wallace Mikagawa. Many of her traits and skills are inherited from her father, but she doesn't train Water-types purely like him. Her Pokemon are of a large variety. She owns a Luvdisc like her father, which is her father's offspring, also named Elizabeth. She is still Sinnoh's Grand Festival cup owner.
- Sjov Ombre [ Evolution of Robert from the anime ]
-- Sjov is a specialist of Water and Ice-types, the only exception for this male is his Ambipom that started following him home one day, causing him to catch it in the end. He has conquered the Hoenn Grand Festival, and still reigns as champion there. He ranks as the first few in the world, and all his Pokemon have helped him to shine.
List of Contest hosts: - Wallace Mikagawa (controlled by dewdropdread)
- Aldvorlye Cholorn
- Alversen Cholorn
IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE A CONTEST MASTER OR HOST TOO, PLEASE PM YOUR REQUESTS TO DEWDROPDREAD (Username: admin) DIRECT YOUR QUESTIONS TO HER TOO.

Breeder
A breeder basically takes care of Pokemon and raises them. They usually do not partake in many battles, so their Pokemon tend to evolve slowly, and not instantly. However, their Pokemon are of better condition then usual Pokemon. Many Coordinators have experienced being a breeder too.
They usually know a little more about taking care of younger Pokemon. Even the DayCare couple are considered breeders. They can be found in every region.

Researcher
Researchers are partly breeders, and some are known as professors. The more famous ones are Professor Oak, Elm, Birch, and Rowan. They each run a lab in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh respectively. They also distribute starter Pokemon to beginning trainers in the region. They also have a lot of battling experience, but it's because of their lab coats and status many people overlook that fact of researchers.
There tend to be little researchers, but the pros on their side is that they have a large amount of experience which leads to the strength of their Pokemon. Of course, they usually do not surpass the Elites.

Watchers / Photographers
These people appreciate the lesser known of nature, and are usually in tune with Pokemon and nature. They tend to understand Pokemon better, and carefully observe the growth of wild Pokemon. Watchers are better known as people that sketch drawings of Pokemon, and are usually good artists. Their drawings are usually kept for personal collections.
Photographers may not necessarily know how to draw well, but they are determined to get the perfect shot. They are flexible in moving about to get a good angle of shot, and observe Pokemon closely to know when to use a flash or not. However this is usually applicable to experienced photographers...

Artist
These people don't hang about in the dirt. They do more professional things like sculptures and painting. Their works are usually seen in museums. They work for Contest MCs usually, and the winning Pokemon are drawn before exhibited in the Contest Hall and renowned museums. They have a classy feel to them, and may not be wearing very nice clothes for that matter...

Gym Leader
Gym Leaders are considered experts, and they rank just beneath the Elite, but are still very powerful forces to be reckoned with. Each has a special arena for battling, be it underwater, moving planets, or even a battle on a rooftop. Either way, they do not succumb easily, and any trainer that challenges the gym has to be ready for a fight.
A Gym Leader has his/her own special set of rules, and certain obstacles may come into your way as you aim to beat all eight in a region to be entitled an entry into the Pokemon League.
Gym Leaders specialise in certain-typed Pokemon, although there are many exceptions. Leader Volkner may have an Ambipom, seeing that it learns a major electric type move through TMs - Charge Beam. It is considered to be legal carrying such Pokemon. However, it wouldn't make sense for Leader Brawly to have a DRAGONITE just because it knows Focus Punch. It doesn't seem right, because Brawly is only the second gym of the Hoenn region. If the player does not know whether it would be odd for his/her gym leader to have a certain Pokemon, just PM a Moderator, they will answer your questions.

Nurse
Nurses are given an important duty of healing sick, fainted, or injured Pokemon from wild Pokemon battles or just because they need a little rest. Now and then a Pokemon might get sick due to fevers or flus. It may seem nothing much to a human, but to a Pokemon, it may cause their attacks to be abnormal and odd things to happen.
One of the rarer diseases is the Pokerus. Many say it is beneficial, and it can only be confirmed by Nurse Joy at any Pokemon Center. Pokerus can cause Pokemon to become stronger, but at the same time, the Pokemon's energy is drained very quickly. The disease gradually wears off after two days, but if they make contact with other Pokemon in your party, the other Pokemon become infected too. The effects of Pokerus can be "frozen" while the Pokemon is kept in the PC - which means the Pokemon will still have the disease, but it will not affect them in the meantime while they are kept in the PC.
Pokemon can catch Pokerus by either coming in contact with infected Pokemon through wild Pokemon battles or battling trained Pokemon with the virus.
Nurses are to ensure Pokemon are alright, and the more common nurses are Chansey and Blissey. Other types are usually not seen. Human nurses may have to tend to injured people though.

Officer
A Police officer, which pretty much explains itself. You can have any Pokemon, though if you choose to be a Rookie then you'll need to have some sort of Canine Pokemon (i.e. Growlithe, Poochyena, etc.).
As an officer it will be your job to look after the Town or even Region that's in your jurisdiction and keep all of the people safe.

League Champion
They are the Elite of the Elite, the cream of the crop, and the strongest known in that region. They are the ones that battle through all eight gyms in the region, and take part in the Pokemon League, further then, winning the entire Pokemon League.
The Pokemon they use then are noted down in the Hall of Fame, and the character becomes the league's champion. They will then tend to all Elite Four challenges and such. They work closely with the Gym Leaders.
They can have monotype teams or varied teams, but you must ensure that you do not god-mod whenever you battle. You may be requested to be present for certain ceremonies, so please make sure you will not abandon us one day.

Festival PlannerThis is the job we tend to need most, and also the one most people don't want to do. It's a good job for a creative person. Here's what you can do: - You are Master of Ceremonies (MC) of Pokemon Contests, which also means you can open a Contest Hall in the Kanto or Johto Region.
- Any events going on in your area, you get to plan.
- You can plan events whenever you want!
Mot a bad deal right? Here's an example. You want to have a Fesival in Viridian City, celebrating Celebi. So you plan the activities, whether in the role play or not. (Examples: Have a PokeParade, or a Beauty Contest, or something the users can do, like an art or story contest. Also make sure to have things to benifeit players, like asking for the Haircut Bros. or someone to come sell TMs or Stones. Things like that. ) Of course you can be as creative as you want, and even have a small plot to go with it (let's say you want Celebi to make an appearance), it's all up to you. Plan it as far ahead of time as possible, and we'll put it on the calender.
